I customized my miniature wireless HDMI receiver reference design PCB into a wireless video receiver accessory for HTC phones. Worked with HTC engineers in North Carolina, a San Francisco-based industrial designer, and a PCB layout engineer in Taiwan to go from concept to prototype in less than 6 months. Design included Qualcomm-Atheros 802.11n 1x1 radio, PCB-mounted antenna, power and thermal design constraints.
Ubicom made proprietary network CPUs, and I was charged with creating bringup systems and reference designs for wireless routers and media endpoints. My dual-radio router reference design became a few different products for D-Link, including their high-end DIR-855.
Led the development of the DP572 Dolby-E Decoder for multi-channel audio distribution in digital television broadcast studios. Worked with company officers and senior engineers in San Francisco and New York to define product specification in line with marketing goals. Designed product using four processors, a real-time operating system, Ethernet, and specialized video and digital audio interfaces.
